The roots of the company go back to the year 1989, when Marc Mahieu creates his company all alone. Not even a year later, a first extension takes place and he forms his own assembly team. In the meantime there has heavily been invested in strong and performing equipment, such as a crane (PPM 20 T), an elevator (Merlo & Genie Boom), a plotter… In 1994 the company sprl MAHIEU CONSTRUCTION MÉTALLIQUE is created and in 1996 the company employs already 10 people. Soon there will be 15 employees, working in two shifts. New engineers and draughtsmen also joined the company and the most sophisticated drawing equipment was installed in the offices. In 2000, the built space of the company was considerably extended and not less than 40 people are being employed. Due to the strong growth, new investments had to be made, such as the purchase of a powerful drill and sawing table (Vernet FP 800, intended to handle with HEA 800 girders) as well as the purchase of fully CNC-guided machinery. As far as design is concerned, we didn't skimp on any spending or effort either. In less than 15 years, MAHIEU CONSTRUCTION MÉTALLIQUE managed to become one of most forefront companies in de sector of the metallic construction and there is no doubt the end of the growth isn't in sight yet. |
